Last week the premiere of the 'Troubadours: the rise of the singer-songwriter' documentary by Morgan Neville on the Sundance festival was a huge succes. The film is about the Westcoast music scene, telling a story by exploring the early careers of James Taylor and Carole King. The reviews I have read so far were very positive, so this is a must-see for every James Taylor fan.

The 90 minute documentary will be broadcasted on PBS television on March 2. It will also be sold (U.S. only) on DVD together with a cd with the following songs:
  1. James Taylor - Sweet Baby James
  2. Linda Ronstadt - Desperado
  3. Little Feat - Dixie Chicken
  4. Elton John - Take Me to the Pilot
  5. Tom Waits - Ol 55
  6. Bonnie Raitt - Love Has No Pride
  7. Randy Newman - Sail Away
  8. Warren Zevon - Poor, Poor Pitiful Me
  9. Kris Kristofferson - Why Me
  10. Carole King - It's Too Late
